The Legend of Luther Strode #6

I'm a huge fan of Jordan's work and his let loose approach to the Legend of Luther Strode makes it so much fun in action, dialogue and character. Petra really deserves a spin-off book due to Jordan's portrayal her and makes her one the most likable female action heroes around. It's inevitable that Luther will win in the end but he faces the dire consequences of collateral damage with honesty and pain alike. I will miss this series and hope both Jordan and Moore will bring us more Luther Strode in the future. Comics are better off because of series like this. Read Full Review

This issue is not as definitive as the conclusion to the first series and very clearly leaves room for a third series. The other unadulterated joy contained in this issue is any and all expressions drawn by Tradd. He can draw the heck out of a panic stricken face. Read Full Review

Not a book for everyone, but for those that it was for? I find this to be a step up from the first volume and Justin really didn't seem like he was afraid to take the gloves off to turn this up. Not a single punch was pulled and what you wanted to see was a fist making contact with another' face. This was an amazing conclusion to the mini series and with the ending, I can only hope that this story can continue in the future. Read Full Review

Jordan doesn't throw any twists or turns our way, but he definitely brings his A game when it comes to the dialogue and bringing some massively entertaining moments. There's an abundance of shockingly violent set pieces and scenes in this one. I know you've come to expect overloads of graphic violence from this title, but this is definitely way up there. As always, Moore and Sobreiro keep pace with Jordan's crazy script and do total justice bringing this madness to life. It's a tad too hectic at times, but overall, it's yet another great chapter in Luther Strode's life. Read Full Review

Read as the conclusion to "The Legend of Luther Strode," this issue serves up a good conclusion and provides a satisfying wrap-up of everything we've seen. As the final chapter in the second of three volumes, though, I feel like it's even better. Everything is well-positioned for next year's "The Legacy of Luther Strode," and it makes me look forward to how Jordan and Moore with bring it all to a close. Until then, it's definitely worth taking a look at the progression through all six issues of "The Legend of Luther Strode." . . $3.50, 29pgs + 7pgs Xtras! C- cover. NO ADs!! . . ULTRAVIOLENCE! This issue concludes the second arc of the story of Luther Strode with all the bloody action we have come to expect. It also features dialog, character & developments that we usually don't see... still at a breakneck pace. The art is intense and the colors are vivid. Its clear that all the creators worked themselves to a higher standard with this issue. As usual we get more from an issue of LS then the majority of comics on the market. This issue is loaded with value, exceeding the industries page/price ratio by a wide margin and then throwing in plenty of pinups & strips. Jordan & Moore have intriguing characters and a nice little franchise on their hands. I look forwar d to the next arc in 2014. I encourage those who haven't read this series to pick up the two arcs in TPB. more
