    Spawn #289 is here and it's a prime example as to why you need this book on your pull-list! It's outstanding that after all this time the creative team still finds ways to keep this saga relevant and engaging. You can't argue with the overall quality as this comes highly recommended.     While it is nice to see Spawn being more tactical, its not becoming a bit much. Understanding the way Demons and Angels work after years of facing them is one thing. Being a master of cybernetics and building Overt-Kill a new set of legs is another thing entirely. Unless I missed something over the years, its definitely a sudden and unusual skill he learned just to progress the plot. Unless he has another ally we dont know about yet which is entirely possible.     This isnt a stand-alone issue; however the whole return to family storyline has been good, and has peaked my interest enough that I want to keep going in anticipation of #300. So, if youre an Image fan I would recommend picking up a copy of this issue. Read Full Review
