Jan 14, 2026I don't know what to think of this. I mean, I get it, I understand what it's doing and all, but just the execution falls short in the structure in a big way. I don't mind going in blind and learning along the way, but I got more from the glossary of terms than I did reading it about the time and place it happens in. The big draw for the moment is the artwork as it's just gorgeous, and it can easily sell it as it should. The locations are fascinating, the characters look great, and it's from a “lost dark period” of London is certainly intriguing. And I like being disconnected-ish from thirty years of Spawn storytelling I don't know about to look at a particular sliver. But it really needed to do better in the setup side to make it a bit easier in some ways, more accessible. Read Full Review
