May 06, 2026Readers watch as a mysterious figure lays out a mission Jessica can’t say no to. the dialogue is chilling in aspects but direct. This leads Jessica back into business. Readers watch as she confronts kidnappers of a young child. Action is fast an unapologetic. It leads to a superb finish and equally shocking cliffhanger ending. Apprehensively picked this one up since the only Spawn comic I had ever read before this was the first three issues of Gunslinger Spawn, which I didn't remember being too fond of. However, what convinced me to get it was seeing Gail Simone attached to it, as well as IG Guara. Luckily, this ended up being pretty solid. Nothing insanely good, but a good book throughout. The ending here is what really hooked me, so I'm especially looking forward to the follow-up on that.
