Moriarty: The Dark Chamber is off to a strong and intriguing start. Corey knows his material and handles the character quite well. However, while that's enough to deliver a promising first issue, he'll need to deliver some more on the plotting front with the next issue " though the issue's cliffhanger suggests that things are about to get serious. If he can find a way to further differentiate histale from that crafted by Moore, I'll be convinced that we're on to a winner.Still, it's a very promising start. Read Full Review

I wanted to love this book being a huge fan of the Sherlock Holmes genre but I found myself on the fence after the first read. I liked the set up and the cast of characters but struggled with some of the pacing and overly buried mystery. Overall, this is a good book and definitely worth your three bucks. I will need more than the first issue to determine if this series is for me and that's generally a good thing. Read Full Review
