Oct 28, 2026It can be really difficult to find the right balance for high fantasy. So much of it seems so bogged down in dueling, fates and opposing powers and things. It's difficult to relieve find the emotional center of it in a way that feels anything other than overworked. Liu and Takeda manage it sound very sharp from maneuvers around the edges of everything. May bring it all together in a way that continues to find an impressive heart at the center of everything. It all feels mre or less perfectly placed on the page even if the story feels a little overcluttered with lore and backstory. Read Full Review
