Maestros #1 was not what I was expecting it to be before I started reading. It's a great story filled with great art. The characters might be a little lacking as of yet, but it's only the first issue and I'm into it already so I'm down with wherever this thing's going. I am hooked. I loved this book. Maestros #1 is more than just fantasy, sci-fi, or even a story. It's a fun journey into a whole new world of magic and chaos. If you're a fantasy fanatic than you should definitely pick this up; it's definitely geared towards fantasy fans. The issue is a great beginning for Maestros; however,I do hope that there is more character development as the series moves forward. Read Full Review

The mark of a good story teller is to present the reader with something they have encountered before as something new and interesting. Skroce has done this with the first issue and the reader will be left excited to see what comes next. Read Full Review

I recommend this book, as long as you do not mind a little swearing, a little violence, a little nudity, and a lot of craziness. If you like books like Head Lopper, or other out there original stories that are trying to do their own thing, and incredible art, then give Maestros a shot. Its insane, in all the right ways. Sumptuous visuals make this adult fantasy blast into the stratosphere. The story took an unnecessary turn to the past, but that's just my preference for linear storytelling. This is definitely a book to follow, but keep it out of the hands of younger comic readers! Read Full Review

Maestros #1 is an entertaining, yet flawed comic that shows much potential. The mediocre script is elevated by the outstanding art. While it may not be the most impressive debut issue, the visuals by Skroce and Stewart make this one series worth keeping an eye on for at least the first few issues. Read Full Review
