  Madame Frankenstein has done a lot by itself to allay my fears, the use of the supernatural along with scientific endeavour makes sense now and that was probably my main fear for the plot This is not an all action read but instead the ideas are really well presented and point towards a deepening narrative, it may not be for all but at its core it’s a throwback to storytelling with a meaning.   Jamie Rich has a way of crafting a story that allows for some previous mythology but adds a new dynamic to something that has been done a million times before.   Horror DNA - James Ferguson

  Madame Frankenstein continues its journey through Vincent Krall's fractured psyche.  What's scary about this comic is not that he brought a woman back to life, but how normal Rich makes it seem.  There's this glimmer of hope that maybe everything will be okay for these two crazy kids.  They'll have a great story to tell their grandkids one day.  I'm dying to find out what's going on with these fairies though.   Two issues in, Rich and Levens' "Madame Frankenstein" mini-series is more interesting than I would have expected as it blends together some disparate ideas and genres to make a more fascinating whole. Still, as a reader, I yearn for some agency for Courtney/Gail and suspect the book will become more layered once it reaches that point. Read Full Review

  I really dont want to run Madame Frankenstein through the mud because it isnt a terrible comic. The most frustrating aspect of this series is that is isnt remarkable in any way while also avoiding being outright bad. The book has been mediocre so far and thats going to lead to soft sales. This team needed to have a much stronger lead for this series to be a successful mini from Image Comics. Read Full Review
