You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jul 24, 2024Theres still plenty of room to get things moving for Simmons. Its not like McFarlane doesnt have a hell of a lot of momentum going into the next issue and beyond. Its just unfortunate that he feels the need to spend so much time away from the strongest couple of characters in the series to try to set-up conflict thats going to come into the foreground in the next few issues. The 36th issue of the series could have made for a really tight first half of a solidly better issue if McFarlane hadnt felt the need to muck about so much with the supporting cast. Read Full Review

Jul 25, 2024KING SPAWN #36 is a mixed bag with strong character moments and dialog, offset by a thin plot and weak art. We like the direction of the arc as Spawn goes on the offensive against the vampires for kidnapping Grannie Blake, so this series has potential if it can tweak the shortcomings. Read Full Review
