Invincible #118

I have to admit, I'm not too into superhero comics, and I never have been. Invincible is one of the few that can actually keep my interest, especially now that we're on another planet. Earth isn't boring or anything, but other planets are just more entertaining. That being said, this story is appropriate for new Invincible readers as well as the diehard fans that have every issue. It'll give you a mix of emotions and an overall good read. Now is the perfect time to start following Mark Grayson on this new chapter of his life. Read Full Review

The issue is a steal at $0.25 cents. Even if that is outside of your budget, Invincible #118 is available for free digitally as well. Kirkman will satisfy readers of old as well as charm new readers into continuing Mark and Eve's journey. The artwork is outstanding and continues to impress every month. The series is more accessible than ever now that the focus is shifting away from Earth and into the stars as Mark and Eve try to start a new life with their infant daughter. It's something different for the series, and in this case different is largely good. Read Full Review

Virtually nothing happened in this issue that any long term Invincible fans would really care about. Oliver got older and much more boring and Terra might be dead (Probably not). The art is still alright. Overall, I'm kinda mad I paid a quarter for this. I don't know what happened to invincible or when it happened, but I really don't like it. Read Full Review

Some genuinely funny moments and a heartbreaking conversation at the end. This was among the most "human" issues of the entire series.

Nice review at the beginning and a well crafted entry story to their new home...but holy cow the ending is rough. Hoping for the best. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's a nice place to jump into the series, it seems, since I have not read previous issues. The price is right. I like the bright expressive art, and clearly the storyteller is comfortable with the characters. I may yet read more this well-developed property.
