But consider the slasher/revenant sub-genre of horror and science fiction as a unique place. JASON, FREDDY, MICHAEL, LEATHERFACE and all of the others. We go because their name is on the marquee, but we root for the survivor girl. This is even true of more generic entertainment - from JAWS and THE BIRDS to THE MIST and SHARKNADO - we root for the victim - this is even true in CUTTER. At the end, we are treated to a classically ambiguous ending. Is she a ghost or a psychotic? Is it all over? We don't know - and that's the way it should be. Read Full Review

Cutter may have had it's imperfections, but overall it has been a brilliant mystery, being perfect reading material for Halloween. This conclusion only goes to reinforce this statement, as despite the ending itself being a little disappointing, the issue as a whole was amazing. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

At the end of the day, I could forgive the lack of clear thematic exploration if the narrative itself worked. But the whole series has been oddly paced, lacking in clarity, and just not very scary. Read Full Review

Do yourself a favor and quit reading after issue 3. Pretend Jeremy was locked up forever or died horribly at the ends of his rescuers. You might not get much closure, but you don't have that with this issue anyway, so at least you'd be ending on a high note. Read Full Review

I'm dissapointed. If you want to see some clearly talented guys playing around with the revenge genre, read the first three issues of Cutter, because I really liked them. Then, make up your own ending. I can assure you you'll be more satisfied with that than this. Read Full Review

Really didn't like the ending to this mini. Cool style, awesome for halloween, but that's it in the end.
