    Overall Codename Baboushka is a nicely put together book. Its decent rather than exceptional. It doesn't really surprise in any way, but it is entertaining. Its a plot twist and an I never saw that coming away from a 4. Read Full Review

    Fans of the genre will find a lot of like in Codename Baboushka: The Conclave of Death #2, but the series won't convert any doubters. It doesn't bring anything new to spy stories and the writing and art styles clash at times. There is still a good chance that this series can be special in the future, but for now, you can likely pass on this title without missing much. Read Full Review

    It was my biggest problem with Bitch Planet while reading it: packaging something as feminist literature does not make it so. But Bitch Planet was also at least trying to be feminist in its content. It might sound harsh, but for the Codename Baboushka story to earn its back-matter, the story ought to work harder to be a fresh story for a female protagonist, rather than a tired, typically-male story that might as well read as if it was gender-swapped.
