Chew #40

Considering how many issues of Chew we've read, it's almost surprising that we haven't seen Tony completely under the influence of some sort of psychedelic 'shroom. Layman and Guillory are delivering the ultra-fun acid trip we never knew we wanted, and while Tony Chu may be on the forces of law and order, Chew #40 might just be your gateway drug to a world of hilarious adventure. Chew #40 is another solid issue of the series and decent finale to its arc. While it could have focused a bit more on the family element for the ending, it has all the usual enjoyable things that you have come to love from this series and that won't distract you at all. Something else that should be added on, at the end of the issue in the mail section, someone has created a chart that list all of the powers that have been seen in the book and what volume they can be found in. Even someone like me, who has been with the book from the start, found this useful and a welcome addition for any fan. I know I'd buy a print of it! Read Full Review
