  Not a bad entry into the overwhelming number of vampires stories out there even if it doesn't really set itself apart much. But if you're looking for a really well drawn book with a nice, campy, cartoon-y style then you should give this a look. Seriously, I really liked the artwork in this book.   Comic Spectrum - Andrew Sanford

  The set-up seems not particularly original, the dialogue is flat and when introducing a new world, the reader needs to know the rules. You can break that rule, provided there is some other hook to grab the reader. While the art is pleasing, it is not that good. This is written by Billy Martin (penciller) and Brent Allen. I did not realize that Billy Martin is a celebrity (member of the pop music act Good Charlotte) until after reading the book and seeing it in the IDW back matter. His art contributions work but the story needs another pass. Read Full Review

  All told, despite how long it took to reach stands, "Vitriol the Hunter" would have benefited hugely from another pass by the editor. There are some cool ideas buried in here, but the story, dialogue and art all aren't quite ready for primetime. Read Full Review

  Vitriol the Hunter #1 is very much a comic I read so youwouldn'thave to. Its energetic but uninspired and in its attempts to be original it just comes across as more clich. In short its really not worth your time or money. Read Full Review
