Campbell and Pattison continue to move this book along with such style, grace, and rabid passion that puts them on their own level against any other creator and title on the shelves today. April also learns that Baxter Stockman isn't in control of the creature but simply monitoring it and taking steps to prevent it from reaching the outside world (along with a hidden agenda he chooses not to share). The knowledge of Stockman's activities allows April to leverage more power but how far can she push the mad scientist before he starts pushing back? Read Full Review

While this won't be the most talked-about story arc, I think, in the long term, it does a lot of good setting a base for the stories going forward and is a nice reestablishment of IDW's ongoing TMNT series. Read Full Review

TMNT #108 brings the "Slithery" arc to a close. Questions are raised and answered and we get further insight into what the hell is going on with Baxter Stockman. There isn't any urgency to the plot or its advancement. The art continues to improve as the arc goes on but it's still not great or enough to slow my growing apathy with the current direction of the series. I've reviewed every issue of TMNT since issue #80 and I'm nearly at the point of dropping the title from my pull list. The book isn't horrible but it feels wrong and I'm not even looking forward to new releases anymore. It's also pretty annoying when you get a TMNT comic and the guys aren't even on the cover. Sophie Campbell can be a great writer but I feel that she's just winging it right now. On top of the mediocre writing, the once tight editing for the series is gone as the dialogue gets mixed up again and Leo once again gets mixed up with Mikey. I'll stick around for a few more issues but if the series continues to meander I may have to drop TMNT from the review schedule altogether in 2021. I hate posting shallow reviews but there isn't really much here to talk about and even if I did go in-depth I'd just be wasting your time. If you're a fan of the series you may be interested for completionist purposes. For everyone else, you aren't really missing anything right now. Rating: 7/10 more

i totally feel your frustrations with this series. i used to really love it, but became completely disappointed with it. it's hard to enjoy a comic when the title characters are barely the focus. also now seeing how none of the climaxes of issue 50 and 75 carried any real consequence, it's made all the feet-dragging to get to those character deaths annoying. none of it carries any real importance. it just feels like a LOT of wasted time.
