Mar 15, 2023STAR TREK #5 is the strongest issue yet, Alexanders clumsy appearance notwithstanding. Loughridges coloring choices continue to impress as he takes advantage of the possibilities this story and setting offer. Rosanas and Tamayo close up strong character work and exciting space action with equal skill. And the writing for both large scale plot twists and small scale character conflicts will serve to keep readers on their toes. Read Full Review

Mar 14, 2023Star Trek #5 is an action-packed frenzy of hand-to-hand combat and tough decisions. Sisko is still reeling from not really knowing who is speaking to him, while it's evident a god-killing weapon is probably bad for everyone. Read this issue knowing the stakes are raised, and even more Star Trek is on the way because of it. Read Full Review

Mar 15, 2023This story is not perfect. It makes some narrative leaps forced upon it by the pacing of the comic format. But it does have a massive scope, interesting conflicts and manages to focus on characters we love in the midst of extraordinary circumstances. Getting an original, impactful, forward moving Star Trek story with a great cast and strong, exciting art is a treat. Hopefully it truly is an inspiration for the larger Star Trek line going forward. Mar 19, 2023OverallThis story is really starting to come together. I loved the moment when Worf refuses to fire on Kahless's ship when ordered to do so. The argument he makes against Sisko's order is both really dramatic and compelling and does force Sisko into trying to find another way. But will that other way be the right path? Read Full Review
