    Operation: Iron Coffin comes out of the gate swinging with a unique premise that delivers far more than ever expected. Kenny Porter and Tyrell Cannon give us a Dracula that isn’t just here for the carnage, although we get plenty of that, but for a compelling redemption arc wrapped in a fast-paced, blood-soaked WWII setting. IDW Dark may have some heavy hitting titles in its first year as an imprint at IDW Publishing, but Operation: Iron Coffin stands out as one of the best. Read Full Review

    Operation: Iron Coffin #1 is a ferocious, stylish debut that knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers. Kenny Porter and Tyrell Cannon fuse grindhouse action with a surprisingly thoughtful take on Dracula, creating a book that moves fast but still leaves room for character. The hook is immediate, the action is relentless, and the promise of what is lurking deeper in the train gives the series plenty of runway. If the next issues build on this foundation, this could be one of the most memorable horror comics of the year. This is pure action horror with adrenaline pumped in for good measure.     Operation: Iron Coffin #1 is a fantastic start to a series that is shaping up to be a thrilling, wild ride that takes one of horror’s most iconic villains in a totally unexpected direction. With it’s big questions about redemption and the surprisingly fitting quiet commentary on good versus evil, this book is a genuinely great read and one that even non-horror fans should check out.
