Helena Crash is something special. I can't think of anything quite like it on the shelves, and I read the entire issue with a huge smile on my face. I loved the over the top action, playful dialogue and narration, humorous and engaging character designs, and one-of-a-kind art.Helena Crash is deliciously fun. Read Full Review

This is a book, even its first issue, that has a very clear and direct mission statement, a clarity to it. It’s energizing, intense and fantastical all at once. I’m enamored and I hope many other readers will be, too. Read Full Review

I've seen this art style before, but never in a comic; it gives a freshness and an endearing quality to the proceedings that I haven't seen in a while. Combine that with the quirky story and hilarious little details (like the names of the illicit coffees!) and you have a comic that put a smile on my face from start to finish. Helena herself, of course, can kick ass with all kinds of style. Read Full Review

    Comic Bastards - Jonathan Edwards

For me, Helena Crash ends up falling in the niche of entertaining, face-paced, and streamlined enough that I do want to read more, so I know I'll be coming back for at least one more issue. If you're looking for something to get a bit of a kick out of without having to think too hard, and/or if you get a least a little chuckle out of the idea of illegal coffee, I'd say this is probably worth taking a look. Now, I only tend to save this kind of mean for Brian Michael Bendis, but this book really disappointed me. This might be the lowest I'll ever score a comic. Read Full Review
