It is a machine that has learned how to weaponize desire. Sep 08, 2026Event Horizon: Inferno #5 brings the miniseries to a gruesome end with some of its most imaginative horror imagery yet. Christian Ward and Rob Carey push the ship itself into terrifying new territory, while Durante's obsession with transcending Heaven and Hell finally comes due. There is real satisfaction in seeing the characters' fates decided, and several creature designs deserve to linger in readers' nightmares. The finale loses some of its power due to rushed plotting and inconsistent character art, particularly when major deaths and reunions occur at convenient times. Still, there is enough grotesque creativity here to leave Pandemonium with plenty of horrific possibilities to explore. Read Full Review
