Jul 23, 2021With its sharp storytelling and vibrant art, Bermuda #1lays the groundwork for what has the potential to be an exciting adventure. Layman does enough in this first issue to draw the reader in. Meanwhile, the reveal at the end hints at a deeper mystery. Bradshaws art and OGradys colors are visually stunning and create poster-worthy art throughout. As a bonus, the back page provides a map of the island that hints at what other dangers may await our two protagonists. I personally look forward to seeing where this adventure takes us. As someone who absolutely adores Layman's Chew I figured I'd pick this up and my first thoughts are there's promise - this didn't hook me in like when I started reading Chew, but there's enough mystery and intrigue here to keep my interest for at least the next few issues. Worth purchasing.
