Jul 06, 2021At the end of The Adventure Zone: The Crystal Kingdom, the stakes are higher and surprise plot points are waiting to be unraveled. And the thing is, I know what these surprises are. By large, I know how the plot is going to play out. Yet I am nonetheless just as enthralled and excited to get to the next installment as I was the first time around. Retelling a story is not easy, but Pietsch and the McElroys have successfully done so in a way that is just as -- if not more -- compelling than the first time. Read Full Review

The Graphic Library - Sara Campbell
Jul 27, 2021This is another fantastic adventure in a truly entertaining series. There is a bit more science and theoretical physics in this one that may resemble the Marvel or DC Universes, but this definitely isn't a tale of superheroes. Takko is still my favorite because of all the sass and sarcasm. He and Kravitz exchange some flirty-ness, which is adorable. Killian and Carey are also an extremely cute couple, so there's enough touches of romance in this story to satisfy that urge for readers. Read Full Review
