Comic Book Bin - Andy Frisk
Dec 08, 2010So Vampis back and shes wearing some clothes this timeat least thus far. Shes also immersed in a more seriously grounded gothic superhero themed world. Shes on a mission, and that mission is one of death dealing. Her first issue is packed with action, blood, bodices, but surprisingly, and welcomingly, little skin. Looks like were going to be getting a serious treatment of the characterbut a costume as iconic as Vampis cant remain under the jeans, flared collared shirt and trench coat forever. Trautmann and Reis will undoubtedly make good, and hopefully intelligent, use of it eventually. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Ryan K. Lindsay
Nov 24, 2010This is an interesting relaunch and I hope one to look out for. It needs to decide exactly what type of comic it wants to be and then push in that direction hard. It feels like the next step for those who have enjoyed the four color exploits of Sookie Stackhouse. This has one very cool leading lady, a history of vampires for her to fight against, and if the reveal at the end is anything to go by, an interesting villainess to face off against. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Dean Stell
Nov 30, 2010False advertising. Change the name and cover on this, and this title could find an audience with the folks who are starved for more strong female heroes. In fact, I might have liked this better if it didn't have the Vampirella name associated with it because this just isn't Vampirella. I would say that it is unfair to hold the book to the standard of that name, but they chose to license the property and use this story. Read Full Review
