PumpkinHead #3

Between the writing and the artwork, this issue comes together to be an exciting ride that leaves me wanting more as soon as possible. I always enjoy a comic book issue that is so good that I’m angry that I have to wait a month to get the next one, and this issue is one of those comic books. While the story may not have had much narrative progression, the introduction of these other demons could lead to some horrific encounters in the future, with Blacky Shepherd's art being disgusting and evil to honor the time-honored creature design of Pumpkinhead. Read Full Review

Pumpkinhead is attacked by his own kin in this middle installment. The story is fun, though there are fewer horrors for the humans, and the visuals aren't consistent enough. I'm still enjoying this enough to want to continue reading it. I'm hoping that things become more dire for the humans. Read Full Review

Pumpkinhead #3 is a solid script that unfortunately flounders somewhat in the visuals. Admittedly, if the comic had a bit more going on than just a demon fight then their might have been more of a safety net. It doesnt help that the big fight is frustratingly put on pause. Its still not a bad comic, and there are redeeming qualities. If you have enjoyed Dynamites Pumpkinhead mini thus far, you will still likely enjoy this comic well enough. A moderately fun tale of horror and monsters, with some nice gore, but does not have enough strength to pull in most readers outside of long-time Pumpkinhead fans. Read Full Review
