The Green Hornet is trying to re-make his image in Century City. The wealthy, brilliant and ruthless arms dealer, Gravilov isn't making it easy. Intent on using Century City as a base from which to ship death around the globe, Gravilov must first eliminate the Green Hornet and Kato. Gravilov's high-tech thugs have attacked The Hornet's Nest, leaving blood and chaos in their wake. Now, the Green Hornet will strike back. But, to defeat Gravilov, will the Hornet have to sink to his level?

Unleash The Fanboy - Daniel Alvarez
Dec 21, 2012Overall, a surprising very good issue of Green Hornet. The title character doesn't exactly do much, butit doesn't matter since, I can't believe I'm saying this, Scowlis a much more engaging focus. (Not to mention the very cool armor.) It's not quite clear what the future is for this series thanks to the inconclusiveending, but if Green Hornet can be like this from now on, it will become a series I can start recommending. Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson
Dec 28, 2012There seems to be some interesting potential here, although I'm unclear on the fate of Mulan Kato (the new female Kato, introduced by Kevin Smith at the debut of this book) or whether she was in the Hornet's Nest at all. I am interested in what happens next with the Hornet, but I'm not entirely sold on putting the book back on my pull list. Artistically, it's an okay issue, with Scowl's armored hornet-suit looked pretty cool and insectoid, but still very generic as a hero's costume. Facial expressions are pretty weak throughout the issue, and the super-heavy inks that Stephen attributes to Dynamite books are here in spades, and Gavrilov's facial deformity (presumably a scar) looks like somebody dumped pink jello on his head in most panels. Comics: The Gathering - JohnP
Dec 21, 2012By now, I can't imagine there is a single reader who is enjoying this series. As a huge Hornet fan, it physically pains me every month to see the beloved character fall so far. Thankfully there is a bright, shining light at the end of this tunnel: Mark Waid's New Hornet series starts in March. Only two more issues to go until then. Read Full Review
