CHRISTOPHER HASTINGS (The Unbelievable Gwenpool! Secret Agent Deadpool! Adventure Time! I Am Groot!) and DAVID HAHN (Batman '66! Bombshells: United!) proudly present a story from a time when there wasn't internet, but there WERE cyborgs!
It's the 1970s. Things are going great. Steve Austin (used to be an astronaut, now has robo-parts & a laser eye) heads to Japan to help Secret Agent Niko Abe stop a madman with missiles. Steve figures, no sweat. But then...sweat. How's Steve going to complete his mission, when his fancy $6,000,000 body starts (DRASTICALLY) depreciating in value!?

Mar 05, 2019This was my favorite comic book that I read this week. Fans of the original show should definitely give this a try. Or, you know, people who like happiness in general. Read Full Review

Mar 08, 2019Even putting nostalgia aside, I can recommend the Six Million Dollar Man as a solid, entertaining read that makes for a great introduction to a forty-plus year old character and concept. Dynamite Entertainment assembled a top notch team to bring this property into the hands of readers old and young alike and I for one am eager to get my hands on the next issue. Please let this be a monthly and not a miniseries. Read Full Review

Mar 05, 2019Overall. A strong start, which takes Steve Austin in a slightly different direction than we have seen in previous comics and indeed the TV series itself. Read Full Review

Mar 06, 2019For someone who doesn't really care or know anything about The Six Million Dollar Man, I had a fun time reading The Six Million Dollar Man #1. I think in the end the combination of how Steve Austin was written as a bit of a goof and the "Archie" styling of the art won me over as an overall theme. If you are a fan of The Six Million Dollar Man I figure you will enjoy this. If you have never seen or heard anything about the show then this is a great jumping-on point. Read Full Review

Doom Rocket - Clyde Hall
Mar 08, 2019This Six Million Dollar Man series gives the original action formula a bionic noogie. It's taking chances, always applause-worthy. Still, the comics-buying public may be split. Old-timers used to a taciturn Col. Austin may feel alienated by the Our Man Flint stretch. (If Derek Flint was played by a de-aged Steve Carrell instead of James Coburn.) Read Full Review

Mar 07, 2019Dynamite's "The Six Million Dollar Man" #1 is an update to the bionic man mythos in name only, and if not for the disconnect it would make for a relatively fun comic book romp. Readers new to the property might dig it, but fans looking for a sophisticated update of the '70s series beware. Read Full Review

Mar 08, 2019Dynamite has been having a bit of a resonance lately with a number of their licensed books being the best they ever have been. Showing that the right creative team can make anything work. The Six Million Dollar Man #1 has its moments but does not do enough to stand out from an ever-growing field. Read Full Review
