While I partially expected this installment to wrap up the storyline, I'm excited to see where it goes next and that not everything was being crammed into a standard six-issue block. Palmiotti and Connor have a lot of things going on here but it's still kept small and tight overall and there's a good sense of forward motion throughout. Moritat is really delivering some gorgeous artwork here that Matt Carter is bringing to life beautifully with the color design. The big fight sequence is great but I also really loved the old-school feeling of the sex scene between the king and queen of different kingdoms that we get. There's a good mix of humor and comedy in all of this but it's still played straight and serious in the right way. I can't wait to see what's next. Read Full Review

THE INVINCIBLE RED SONJA #6 is a mad dash race down the mountain in an issue that feels as close to an authentic Red Sonja as any other issue in the series so far. While the action is tense and non-stop, there are a few eyerolling moments, and the art is serviceable at best. Read Full Review

I'm sure that there is an audience for the grunting and sweating and highly sexualized story that is Invincible Red Sonja #6, but even though it has its fans and readers, it's just not great. Read Full Review

Strong end to a really strong story, which perfectly captures the spirit of the classic Marvel tales with extra sex and violence. There's an incredible amount going on here with a nice long fight scene and a couple of surprises; the writers skilfully tie off most of the loose ends but leave it on a cliffhanger. Great OTT period exclamations, beautiful art, loads of action ... can't wait for the next issue. I'm docking half a point for a couple of places where the art wasn't crystal clear and also a somewhat bizarre reaction from Sonja and friends towards the end of the story.
