Apr 03, 2019The Red Sonja series understands that not everything needs to be explicitly shown, and even the moments of necessary violence that occur occasionally are shown in a subdued, mature way that avoids emphasis the grotesque. Read Full Review

Apr 03, 2019Russell is giving us some great character material while playing to the larger story while Colak gives us some great visuals and layouts, both of which are done with a really great density to it that it feels like I'm really getting my value out of the book and not just a quick read of simple action and adventure. I'm excited for what's next once again. Read Full Review

Apr 03, 2019The newest run of RED SONJA is a powerhouse series. Issue #3 continues the strong trajectory, dialing back the action a bit, but diving more into Sonja as a character. With three excellent issues under the belt, this is definitely a series to follow. Read Full Review

Apr 06, 2019The story could be skipped and two different artists in the third issue make this relaunch's status shaky. The story goes nowhere, adding nothing to the conflict between forces. The inclusion of a backstory for a supporting character doesn't add anything to this issue. Two different artists' styles do not gel well. The colors are fine, but the letters have awkward moments. Three issues in and this happening? Extremely disappointing. Will Red Sonja do anything worthy of her past incarnations in this series? Read Full Review
