Captain Planet and the Planeteers #4

Issue four brings the reader into the psyche of the Planeteers, which really shows their character flaws and concerns. David Pepose does an awesome job of humanizing the characters and showing us that they have real life issues and problems, along with the weight of this immense responsibility. Letting the reader into the motivation and fears of the Planeteers really makes us feel closer to them. Just when you think that their personal trials are the worst of the worries, the final page reveals a much more fearsome villain is on the horizon. Read Full Review

CAPTAIN PLANET #4 throws everything at the wall, but too much bounces off into a noisy, well-meaning mess. Underneath the splashy pageantry is an issue that wants to inspire but mostly exhausts, pulling double duty as both cautionary tale and accidental villain origin story.
