While Automata didn't strike me as strongly as some worlds we've seen previously, partially because cyborgs just creep me out, it is a solid installment that shows the furthering bond between Barbarella and Talyn and why it's so critical. Their relationship is even the focus of the Lady's plan here to get Barbarella into the right mindset for the next phase of it. It's a bit of a slow and curious installment overall but it's wonderfully illustrated and hits some key notes that I couldn't help but to love it. Read Full Review

BARBARELLA (VOL. 2) #4 strikes the right balance between whimsy and camp to produce another solid entry about the space warrior who saves lives with the power of love. The plot tells a self-contained story while slightly hinting at an overall arc, but the arc could use a little more forward progress. Once again, the art in this series is simply stunning. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ich diesen Comic nehme, eine angenehme Lektüre, lenkt einen von dem ab, was andere Comics gerade tun. Ich mochte die sinnliche Barbarella und ihren feurigen Engel sehr, diese Nummer in der Action gibt uns eine romantische Wendung, in der die Liebe selbst kybernetische Feinde besiegen kann.
