NEW DSTLRY SERIES DEBUT FROM SIMON SPURRIER AND MATÍAS BERGARA!

Mar has a secret. Sometimes, without warning, he falls out of the world. This would be an inconvenience if his life wasn't already such a drag.

When he's gone, he finds himself in an extraordinary city. A city which is also a machine, endlessly crossing a shoreless ocean. A city of two halves: the bright, bustling spires above the waves, and the beast-haunted twilight halls below. And between, clowning along the rusting beach, a troupe of anarchic magpies with all the answers but none of the questions.

Mischief of Magpies #1 is a bold, inventive comic that fully embraces the strengths of the medium. Si Spurrier and Matías Bergara craft a reading experience that feels alive on the page, blending prose, visual storytelling, and design in a way that constantly surprises. It asks more from the reader than most comics, but the payoff is a deeply immersive and emotionally resonant start to what feels like a special series. A fearless swing that proves comics can still surprise you. Read Full Review

    Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell

A Mischief of Magpies #1 is weird depressing introduction into a strange world that may not even be real. The story explores a young man’s rough life well intertwining it with a strange and hopeful dream world. This is a heavy read that brings a gloomy feeling of hope to the reader. Make sure to get down to your Local Comic Shop before Monday May 25th and order your copy, to make sure you are locked in to get a copy when it launches on July 15th! Read Full Review

A Mischief of Magpies #1 is imaginative, heartfelt, oddball, and emotionally sharp. It is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the wildest worlds in comics are not built to help us run away from reality. Sometimes they exist to show us what we are really running from. Read Full Review
