Wonder Woman: Black and Gold #4 is truly a treat for any Wonder Woman fan. Get lost in Nicola Scott's gorgeous art, or go on an adventure with Diana to defeat the manipulative Hypnota. Overall, like any anthology, we're given a mixed bag of results in issue #4 of Wonder Woman: Black and Gold. However, while some anthologies leave a bad taste in the mouth, Black and Gold #4 is a pleasant read even if most of the stories aren't great. No matter the quality, these shorts have a good heart and there's a lot of love for the character on display that will please hardcore fans and win over Diana dilettantes like me. Read Full Review

"Prayer" - Worth the price for Scott's art. "Amazing" - Decent, though I felt we already had a "child looks up to Diana" story like this in the previous one. "Whatever Happened to Cathy Perkins?" -Surprisingly decent send up of the Mod era. "Love Failed" - Very weird, art takes some getting used to but I enjoy the use of Hypnota in this story. "Wing Woman" - Decent and fun enough, though you see this kind of plot for a lot of superheroes who date back to the Golden Age.

Highlighting this issue in the anthology is Wonder Woman's compassion when facing hard truths. A bit of love towards a griffin who tragically died after a long journey and comforting a friend trying to keep herself in nostalgia to ward off her death. Plus just a little fun when she calls a girl Batman like she somehow knew that's who she's playing as. Not a great issue but it highlights that Diana's not the judgmental type.

This is slightly better than the 80th anniversary issue. I don't want to just repeat what I said there, but it invariably comes down to that same sentiment all the same. The best story is the first one. There are a few fine ones in there. Just... not worth the money.
