This is a good stand-alone issue as the character resets for the next story arc. Like the best Wonder Woman stories, there is a lesson to be learned here for all involved about the use of power, even if she didn't have to actually intervene to resolve the issue. Read Full Review

I like a story that has a twist, but when the twist is that nothing in the book matters at all and that it didn't even need to involve our hero........... well, that's a bit of a let down.  This issue does nothing for either our hero our her most popular villain and while it might add something small to a previous story or quite possibly a story we'll deal with in the future, it's not enough to really get excited about when it will probably get recapped later on anyway.  The only thing that this book has going for it is the art, which by normal means is really decent, but when your used to David Finch on this book, it's just not up to snuff to what we expect going in. "Wonder Woman" #47 is a big step forward for the series, and at an important time. With a cinematic version of the character set to debut in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in 2016, there needs to be a strong "Wonder Woman" comic. While we're not quite at that level just yet, the amount of improvement over Finch's first year on the title gives me hope we're on our way towards just that. Read Full Review

All too often it reads like a comic book from the 50s. It also seems the artist for this issue hasn't gotten the memo about Diana's new costume. I can't help but feel bad for Brian Azzarello, having to see the series he built turn into...this.
