  Even if you didn't get the superb zero issue that DC put out for Free Comic Book Day last week, you really need to pick this up if you're a superhero fan. Seriously, "the bad" I talk about with things getting complicated is rather moot... because Robinson & Gates have crafted this so well that you don't need to have read a single issue before this (but without sacrificing the pay offs that long-term readers will enjoy).   The Weekly Crisis - Ryan Schrodt

  The main purpose of this issue is clearly to build tension for the remainder of the miniseries and on that level, this issue works very, very well. The stage is set for the big battle and the ante is upped with the destruction of New Krypton. The strong character writing and expressive art do a great job of sucking the reader in, which is precisely what this issue needed to do. There has been a lot of buildup towards this story and I'd say, so far, it seems worth it. Read Full Review

  Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj

  As a fan, I am sad because the friction between Alura and Kara always made for good reading. And Alura was complicated and as a result a very compelling character to read. This issue kicked of the mini-series in an explosive way. Can the rest of the story keep the adrenaline this high and wrap it all up? I hope so. Read Full Review

  I would like to applaud DC's decision to make this title a $2.99 comic, in a day and age when it seems as though the event books can garner $4 or even $5 per copy. True, that doesn't make the story any more decipherable, but it does give readers a stronger chance to be able to afford a complete miniseries. Read Full Review
