    Comic Booked - Jeff Hill

    Mar 21, 2014

Silly, John. You just really don't want anyone to like you, do you? The stories by Fawkes and event-within-an-event co-writer and co-plotter J. M. DeMatteis seem to be two of the very few DC Comics writers post-New 52 who really "get" the character of John Constantine. He's not a hero. He's not really even an anti-hero. He's an asshole who occasionally makes not terribly selfish decisions. In other words, he's flawed to the point where he's almost a bad guy, but when it counts, he's still human. I have no idea how this is all going to wrap up nicely (spoiler from future readers: it's probably not), but color me curious as to how things shake out. I cannot wait. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Eric Shea

I bitched and I bitched during the middle of Forever Evil: Blight, but now that the end is coming, the momentum is building, and I'm being taken for a hell of a ride.  It really is a surprise to see this story grabbing me again, and all I can say is "bravo".  Even though it's a bit late in the game, if you haven't been reading this, go and get your back issues, and get on the trolley.  We have one issue left in JLD #29, and I can't wait to see how it all turns out leading to Forever Evil #7.  So go check it out. Geeked Out Nation - Mark Pritchard

Pandora #9 is worth reading this month. The overarching story finally progresses, some excitement for what is going to happen next is effectively generated, a main character takes control, and all of a sudden it's become interesting to read again. It's bookended by a fantastic front cover, and deliciously appealing ending, and is probably the most enjoyable Forever Evil: Blight tie-in book that I've read in quite a while now. Read Full Review

    Infinite Comix - Max Dweck

    Mar 20, 2014

Pandora #9 is unsatisfying, simple as that. Too much is happening, and while it's not bad, it feels like it could all be a bit better. It's definitely a necessary chapter of "Forever Evil: Blight", but it's far from the best. Read Full Review
