Apr 23, 2008If the latest issue of the Spirit gets one thing right, it's the art of Paul Smith, which is at least expressively cartoonish and, at times, in and of itself somewhat humorous, even if it doesn't exactly push the comic book form to its limits. Smith is an extremely talented cartoonist, but I think his skills might be put to better use on one of DC's many child-oriented series, or at least a title with some purpose other than to capitalize on Will Eisner's famous creation.
