Jul 26, 2026Superhero comics rarely have endings, but now Alan Moore and Rick Veitch’s Swamp Thing has a near-perfect one that actually fits in current DC continuity too. (PS It’s such a treat to have Mandrake draw Spectre in all his godlike and actually useful glory.) Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
Jul 27, 2026This comic is a time capsule, complete with the facsimile ads and previews, and Veitch has a very emotional coda where he writes about the strange journey this took to get to the comic stands. A totally unique project that should be read by anyone with an interest in vintage DC lore. Read Full Review

Veitch’s writing delivers on huge moments while grounding the guardian of the Green into reflection. The art takes the fight head on, capping off emotional moments with grace and calm. A great finish to an ever-challenging journey. Read Full Review

And how wonderful it is to have Veitch's work complete. I love the idea of Abby and Swampy settling in the prehistoric era of some parallel universe before it got wiped out by the Crisis. Let the never-ending story continue somewhere far away from our lovers and their child. For me, the legend of the Swamp Thing comes to a close with this publication. A beautiful and earned finale to the saga.
