  But the big reveal about the traitors felt a bit rushed. I would have liked a few more details about the events they manipulated. Did Tam-Or really agree to sicken his own people? Was this group behind the purported attack on the Thanagarians? I would have liked to see more of this and let's say less of some of the guest stars that walked through this mini-series. Were Jemm or Adam Strange really necessary to tell this story? I think I will need to reread this mini-series in its entirety and in one or two sittings to get a better sense of whether or not clues were sprinkled through. Read Full Review

  I can't say I'm sad that this series is ending. Any momentum it had in the beginning quickly disappeared once the book lost focus and went in multiple directions. The final page brings the story of Kandor around full circle, but I can't say I care enough to stick around for what happens next. Read Full Review

  Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton

  As I said before, this story isn't really over. In fact, it's a direct lead-in to the "Superman: Last Stand of New Krypton" mini-series and tie-ins. I think most of us can guess at this point what will happen to New Krypton by the time the dust settles. It'll be interesting to see down the line how readers looking back on this era of the "Superman" titles view the creative decisions made here. I can see the idea of getting to know New Krypton so anything bad happening to it will carry more weight. But I do think this is something that could have sped up a bit, maybe just six to eight months at most. It was an interesting experiment, certainly. But with still more chapters to come in the crossover, it doesn't feel as final as a comic with "Final Issue" on its cover should. One more slight stumble for "Superman: World of New Krypton," alas. It could have been great, but in the end I think it just averages out to good. Read Full Review

  Final Say: It feels like my whole review has been a final say, for a series I had such high hopes for, that didnt have the widespread expectations of a Batman Reborn or Blackest Night, still came up empty.   Weekly Comic Book Review - DS Arsenault

  This issue has been a year in the making and all along, the series has implicitly promised something big. Did it pay off? We find out who was behind the apparently random things that happened over the last year, but did it satisfy? Was there an "Aha!" moment? No. And, maybe harder to take, the series ends on a cliffhanger, to be continued in Superman: The Last Stand of New Krypton. As Cartman would say: "Weak." Read Full Review
