Taken to a dark future, Lois and Jimmy bear witness to the end of civilization. In a world torn apart by natural disasters, where Lex Luthor and some of the most powerful super villains rule humanity, not even Superman can save the world--especially since it's a world he created!

Comic Book Revolution - Rokk Krinn
Nov 10, 2006Superman #657 was a better than average read. Busiek did a good job laying down the foundation for a story arc that could deliver some potentially exciting and action packed issues. I'm not all that wild with Khyber, however, I'll give Busiek a chance. I'll admit my bias against mythology and magical based villains. If you like that style of villain then you will probably enjoy Khyber much more than me. Superman #657 is still a quality title with better than average writing and artwork. Read Full Review

Nov 11, 2006While Dystopias are nothing new and have been in comic books since--oh, at least the Atomic Knights if not earlier--Superman goes one better with the artwork. Pacheco's artwork is just so incredibly detailed and gorgeous that you cannot help but be impressed by his dark visions of a dead world and the characters that populate the universe of Kal-El.
