But I don't think we are going to get the 'why this all happened' next issue. Or 'who made this all happen'. My guess is we need to wait. Still, this was a hallucinogenic flight of fancy with plot progression and metatextual body blows. I was entertained! Read Full Review

As always Superman #19 seems to really show the family unit of Superman. Even when everything seems to be on the outs, when Superman cannot even remember his own son's name, he still fights for his family. This is a theme in the Superman run so far with Tomasi and Gleason really making it a great story. Managing to bring new life to Superman with a story that was never able to be told before, giving Superman a family. Read Full Review

The last chapter of Superman Reborn is yet to be played out, but this issue makes it apparentthat the writers have a clear idea of where things are headed. Given the indications evident in this story and in DC's solicitations of upcoming issues, that Superman is being restored to an approximation of his classic status, but keeping important new elements of his legend such as his son Jon, the new Superboy. There is, perhaps, one line in the story that holds a significant clue, and the last page features a surprising return. I wouldnt have minded a bit more clarity, a bit more revelation, but the story arc has not ended, and things have been progressing very enjoyably. There is no reason to think that the next weeks issue of Action, in which Superman Reborn will conclude, will be anything other than satisfying. Read Full Review

For anyone that was disappointed by Superman runs of years past, be at ease. This book brings everything that made the Man of Steel the beloved character he has beenthrough all of these decades: it's hopeful, action packed and tender all at the same time. Everyone is able to find something to like in this book. And that is probably one of the biggest reasons this particular run has been so successful -at the end of the day it's a genuine family story. The ending of this issue worried me. I absolutely will not spoil anything because people are very excited about this crossover and the questions we will be getting answered, but I'm concerned about the direction the character of Superman is going upon reaching the twist at the end of this issue. This issue is very strong and is the best issue of this crossover so far, but with one issue left, I'm officially worried. Read Full Review

Superman #19 finally let's the larger narrative include the other Superman Family titles that's finally showing some of the longtime payoff of the mysteries we've been asking since DC Rebirth started. Mr.Mxyzptlk has proven to be more than a pint sized foe for the family and the issue continues the synergy and pacing of Action Comics keeping everything lean and tight so nothing drags for to long. The art team has never been better putting all amounts of their energy into the backgrounds of this wicked game and the crackling energy that burns bright. Superman Reborn has been a crossover that's swerved expectations but hasn't disappointed so far. With the end in sight, the finale has a lot to answer for and it'll be a treat to see how the story wraps up. Read Full Review

Superman #19 was a good continuation for whats been shaping up to be a great Superman story. While theres less clues to the Rebirth mystery here, we do have some interesting revelations, not to mention great dialogue and atmosphere from Tomasi and Gleason! We're getting more reveals thrown our way, but by the end of the issue it really just comes off like everything is just being thrown at us all willy nilly whether it makes sense or not and I don't know how we're going to get a fulfilling ending with just one more issue left to this Reborn story.  The art in this issue was really good, but there's something about the way that Gleason draws our antagonist that creeps me the hell out and I hope we don't have to see him anymore. Bridging the New 52 Supes with the pre-flashpoint Supes using the red/blue Superman stories of past is not just clever but also inspired. Well done Jurgens, Tomasi and co. It's a nod to history and at the same time validates the existence of the New 52 Supes for those who followed his stories or were saddened by his death. The art is no less than amazing and any artist who can make silly old Mxy the creepy stuff of nightmares is a hero in my book, well done Gleason.

Just so you know Mr. Oz doesn't actually appear in the comic unless Oz is really Jon or Lois or Superman or Jimmy Olson after visiting Paris during fashion week. And now that New 52 Superman is back, I just wanna mention that his costume looks like it would get incredibly warm, with the turtle neck and all. And Gleason's Myx is drawn way creepier than Mahnke and Churchill's Myx. Like way creepier...

More of a setup issue for the next Action Comics, but still provides more understanding behind the villain. I am looking forward to seeing what the revelation in Superwoman does for the characters in the next part of Superman Reborn.

Great issue, but it's not as good as the previous issue.First the twist is pretty much gived away in the Superwoman tie-in.It's not saying it literally the twist, but you can figure out the twist.Plus like the previous issue why don't get any clues or answers to other questions and here we don't even know how is that possible that they are ***CENSORED***.I still think this issue is great, because it's really suspenseful. The dialogs are really there are some really good lines. And the art look amazing it's definitely is the most good looking issue compared to the other 2 issues it looks really magical.I agree with the above reviews about this crossover being a Modern Classic, but it's not because of this issue it's because of the rest of the issu more

This issue is very good. It's rather well-written and has plenty of enjoyable scenes, but the plot is quite simplistic and it's kind of stuck between the revelation of last issue and the ending in the next one. Also, Gleason's art is beautiful. I particularly love his Mr Mxyzptlk. Finally, the cliff-hanger isn't surprising (it's what we were promised in this event) but it's still very exciting and I can't wait to discover how the story unfolds in the last issue.

Great issue, but I found the last page confusing in that how would the character know about that unless they were aware of our real world?? I highly recommend reading Superwoman tie in before this issue. It's not a great issue, but has important background directly related to this issue.
