Supergirl and its first Annual of this volume are solid superhero comics with fun and smart storytelling and realistic characterizations. What else can you ask for? Read Full Review

The Pop Break - Sheena Fisher

This annual was fun. There were a lot of reveals, Emerald Empress shares exactly why she is trying to bring down Supergirl. We learn more about Indigo, and theres some insane things leading into issue 13. The writers have been good with mixing story and action. They have also been good with making you care a lot for Kara as shes going through this weird change with her powers. Pick up the annual and judge for yourself. My rating 8.5/10. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Charlie Wylie

The annual is good and continues the story from the main book. The only reason I docked points was because of the art. The art has been up and down with this series. Read Full Review

The art is fine. Pugh's page layouts are slick with different panel sizes and shapes helping the story flow. So what did you all think? Am I just grumpy? Read Full Review

Overall though, Supergirl Annual #1 is a fun, fast read, and The Girl of No Tomorrow arc is thin, but solid. Look forward to seeing how this one concludes. Read Full Review

This is a gorgeously rendered comic, with great action and excellent figure work. It's hard to ask for more than this from a superhero book, and the art itself is the biggest asset of the annual Read Full Review

DC Comics News - Danny Saab

It was a decent story, albeit not very original. The art was great though, and the issue leaves us on a rather interesting cliff-hanger, and a possible moral dilemma for Kara. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Matthew Sibley

    Aug 31, 2017

The general idea is strong, the action has weight and Orlando's characterization of Kara is a joy, particularly with how she responds to family, but it also feels like it's one script pass away from attaining the heights it should be soaring at. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Jim Werner

    Aug 30, 2017

Steve Orlando continues his "Emerald Eradication" story and while we get to see a bit of the big picture, it's presented in a convoluted mess of a story.  The art is okay, but there is nothing here that I can recommend to anyone but the most loyal Supergirl fans.  I am one of those and I'm still looking for the exit. Reveals info about the villains, but seems to twiddle its thumbs for much of this extra sized issue. Read Full Review
