Of course, it is also ironic that the last panel is that she wants some normalcy because we know next issue is anything but normal, sent to a warrior school in space. So we finally get to a place I like with Supergirl only to blow things up completely again. Still, I will enjoy this issue for what it was. And I will again applaud Tony Bedard for bring Supergirl much closer to what I see in her and farther away from an abomination. This was a fun and action-filled book that told a complete story. What more could you ask for? One can hope that it's only a matter of time before Red Hood becomes a book like this and Future's End and less like the stuff that's going on in Red Hood and the Outlaws now. Read Full Review

With epic art and epic action Supergirlpunched into this weeks issue to help out a red headed buddy. Now trying to get back to her normal life, Kara takes a moment for herself before waiting for the next super adventure. Read Full Review

For a character who had become lost in grief and anger, and had been allowed to bottom out and wallow and whine herself into a shell of her former self it's nice to see Supergirl have a little fun for a change. Worth a look. Read Full Review

Basically the whole story is that Jason wants to stop the distribution of alien weapons & decides that he should look up Supergirl for help...since he was interested in seeing how good a team they would make after they met once in 'Superman & Batman Annual #1"...the whole story feels like filler actually. Supergirl #35 is a minor detour before we get to the Crucible story.  Tony Bedard ruins what could have been a fun one-shot with poor dialogue, a generic story and an all out effort to make Jason Todd look like an ass.  I really liked Jonboy Meyers' art, but it couldn't save this issue from mediocrity. The art was good but for an issue that's written like a one shot, it falters in storytelling especially when compared to last month's excellent Future's End Supergirl. First there's no real reason for Red Hood to be in this story in the first place other than teasing a venom enhanced Jason Todd that will be in the next arc of Red Hood and the Outlaws. Supergirl still seems very childish even after going off-planet and going through events from Doomed. The relationship between her and Michael tries to hard to be PC and it doesn't work as well as the relationship we were shown with Captain Comet last month. I'm still hoping that Supergirl finds its footing, it can be a great book but it's never quite there. I'm enjoying the depiction of Super girl more in JLU where she is showing glimpses of leadership qualities rather than the unsure of herself version we have in this issue. more

I've really disliked the art. The absolutely generic team-up story did not impress me too.
