The Suicide Squad – albeit with different lineups – show up at the end of both stories, only with different intentions. I can't wait to see what the next issue has in store for us. Read Full Review

I really want to like Katana's story, I truly do, but with the exception of the cool action sequences there's nothing that draws me in. Deadshot's might not have those action sequences yet, but the character development and personal vendetta really carry the book. Both stories do have fantastic art, and cliffhanger endings that promise some crazy shiz going to happen next issue, but for now, this series just took a step down. Read Full Review

Ultimately, this issue is somewhat forgettable. The Deadshot works for it's backstory and there is great art in the Katana story but it's a dull issue overall. I recommend waiting for trade on this one. Read Full Review

If you're a fan of Katana, or curious to learn more about her due to the characters upcoming role in the new Suicide Squad movie, or perhaps even the television show Arrow, please avoid this book! It'll leave a bad taste in your mouth. Instead, check out the first volume of Birds of Prey or Geoff John's Justice League of America. I also recommend picking up Outsiders (pre New 52).
