Oct 11, 2017Its been a rough ride lately for Suicide Squad readers, but this arc looks to be a welcome return to form with the character dynamics back in line with expectations and another off the wall mission. Read Full Review

Oct 13, 2017I wish I could heap loads of praise on the art, but I cant. Its good. Mostly. Sometimes very good. But thats about the best I can give it. This book needs a permanent art team. Read Full Review

Oct 11, 2017Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad do somewhat boldly go where no sociopath has gone before. Suicide Squad #27 was a solid start with us mostly getting through a catch-up of the current status of the team, with some mild suspense towards the big reveal (for the team). In general this is a good jumping-on point for new readers as well since there's not too much to know about the arc before aside from Rick Flag being dead. Read Full Review

Oct 29, 2017This issue brought a lot of perspective to the background of the Suicide Squad and showed many potentials. I gave this issue a high rating mainly because of the solid storyline. The rating could have been higher but the art was not the best. I know the artists could do better with detail. Overall, theres a bright future in this arc. Read Full Review

Oct 11, 2017So you wanna know the secret history of the Suicide Squad, huh? Well, you won't find out what it is in this issue, but you'll get some tantalizing clues and the reveal of some classic characters from DC's world of covert agencies. Which, considering how many there are, could be any from a thousand people. Read Full Review

Batman-News - Joshua McDonald
Oct 12, 2017Williams returns to form with this chapter of Suicide Squad, and I couldn't be happier! This issue is high energy, a lot of fun, and contains quite a few laughs as well! It's nice to see the characters represented so well after an arc of questionable plots and decisions, but this turn makes everything feel right again. And if this wasn't exciting enough, Williams introduces us to a new mystery while teasing a number of characters! Read Full Review

Oct 12, 2017This issue lacks the tight, purposeful presentation of that series, but Bagenda does at least give the issue a playful energy and balances out the superhero elements with a slight sci-fi flavor. Read Full Review

Oct 13, 2017I'm probably a little too fussy, but I do like a certain level of consistency. While I would gladly give Rob Williams' efforts 10/10 almost every issue, comics must be judged on writing and art. Sadly, one half is far stronger than the other this time around. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2017Not a very strong issue at all. Writing could have been much better, and art was inconsistent with some panels being strange and not very well drawn. Hopefully the rest of the story arc will be better. Read Full Review
