Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad do somewhat boldly go where no sociopath has gone before. Suicide Squad #27 was a solid start with us mostly getting through a catch-up of the current status of the team, with some mild suspense towards the big reveal (for the team). In general this is a good jumping-on point for new readers as well since there's not too much to know about the arc before aside from Rick Flag being dead. Read Full Review

This issue brought a lot of perspective to the background of the Suicide Squad and showed many potentials. I gave this issue a high rating mainly because of the solid storyline. Well, you won't find out what it is in this issue, but you'll get some tantalizing clues and the reveal of some classic characters from DC's world of covert agencies. Williams returns to form with this chapter of Suicide Squad, and I couldn't be happier! This issue is high energy, a lot of fun, and contains quite a few laughs as well! It's nice to see the characters represented so well after an arc of questionable plots and decisions, but this turn makes everything feel right again. This issue lacks the tight, purposeful presentation of that series, but Bagenda does at least give the issue a playful energy and balances out the superhero elements with a slight sci-fi flavor. Read Full Review

Definitely one of the better ones in last few few issues. I'm interested in what will be shown in the rest of this arc. The art was not the best, but it fit the story well. Overall, a fun read if you have been following the series so far.
