Jan 05, 2006Ruins is a tale of decay and depression, melancholia and remains. It is about the twilight of longevity after the most personal of devastation. Kristiansen exhibits 20 panels of comfortless landscapes, darkened halls, silent rooms, and desolate paintings. We bear witness to the decimation of ones work though art when existence no longer has meaning. At storys end there is quiet irony and finality, of lost beauty that could endure through memory if memory were not cast to ruin. Read Full Review
