The battle between the Secret Six and the Doom Patrol continues from this month's DOOM PATROL #19! Last month, the Secret Six faced Luthor, but this month, they go pedal-to-the-metal against the only team as messed up as the Six themselves the Doom Patrol! You don't want to miss this issue as a Sixer leaves the team forever!

I thought Alice had left last issue, so I was clearly mistaken about that. I don't mind the team being called Secret Six and having seven members, but I wouldn't mind losing Shark. Even Gail can' t make me like that one, at least not so far. I'm not wholly sure about this Eric kid becoming a tuxedoed villain so easily, but I'll certainly give Gail the benefit of the doubt. This issue just barely misses out from taking home a Must Read verdict. You get a cool new villain introduced and a few great moments of personality, including Bane's first date ever, but the lack of focus on the main characters for the majority of the issue and some slightly awkward plotting towards the second half of the issue did drag this one down a bit. This one is definitely on the bubble, so I do strongly recommend it. Read Full Review

I closed this book and muttered to myself, "Gawd, this is so ^@#%ing amusing." I'm hoping both titles persevere long enough to make this a perversely annual event. Truly, it's an event worth its cover price for the humor, absurdity, and entertainment alone. The fact that the characters are so impossibly flawed as to be relatable is just an added bonus. Now over to Giffen for his share of this story in the second part of two over in "Doom Patrol." Following that, I'll be right back here for more shamefully entertaining excellence. Read Full Review

The Secret Six are like the Anti-Titans; they are perhaps the closest thing to a 'family' of criminals that the DC Universe has right now. Highly Recommended. Read Full Review

The first-half of a two-part crossover with the Doom Patrol, this one's got it all (even a team of sexy parachuting female suicide bombers). Manic action from the first page to the last, writer Gail Simone shoots from both barrels here with both dark humor and the kind of ass kicking only the Secret Six can deliver. Must-read. A fun romp, but one that is hindered both by the delay of its concluding crossover issue, and an overabundance of colorful characters vying for attention. Worth the time if you're a fan of the Six or Simone, but otherwise unremarkable. Read Full Review
