We The Nerdy - Cameron McFarland
Nov 25, 2017I experienced a very acute spike of joy when I saw Atom Ant's picture on the front cover of this issue. That iconic pose of him flexing his muscles with that non-threatening Hanna Barbera face speaks to my childhood. Heroes like Atom Ant were perfect for young audiences: purely a good example of simple morals with the added fun of supernatural powers. I don't fault modern cartoons likeAdventure Timeand Avatar: The Last Airbenderfor being more mature and complicated stories, but kids can enjoy simple things as well and for that I thank Scooby and the creators at DC Comics for keeping these characters so well preserved. Nov 22, 2017As stories go, its an epilogue that has been expanded into a needless sequel. Perhaps it should have just been a back-up featured in last issue. Something I enjoy about the Scooby books are the call backs and sub-references, be they friend or foe. I think Fisch missed an opportunity here. Read Full Review
