Rorschach #9

I am really into this story and formula that the HBO series Watchmen set up and this comic fills in with the show. The show is set in the future of that universe and does it’s own thing within that world. This comic follows the formula and does its own thing. King has this and Strange Adventures coming out monthly right now and this by far is the superior book in my opinion. While Strange Adventures has been good for sure, this book is just so much better. I would highly recommend picking Rorschach up this week. Read Full Review

On the surface, Rorschach #9 isn't as insightful as some of the other issues of this book, but King does a great job of investing it with meeting under the surface. It's extremely effective and subtle. Beyond that, this is just another chapter in a stellar mystery, one that ups the stakes that have been set up wonderfully and change everything. Fornes and Johnson's art makes the whole thing work. With each successive issue Tom King, Jorge Fornes, Dave Stewart and Clayton Cowles continue to entrance readers with their gripping mystery. Though the issue did suffer a few lulls in storytelling, it did help further along the story and helps to justify the books existence. Read Full Review

For the first few pages of this issue, I thought "Oh nooo" because I was having trouble getting into it and I found the "hmm/hurm" thing kind of dumb, but it ended up being a really good issue. This is a consistently great series.
