If you've been sticking with this series, you should definitely read the conclusion of Wilson's new origin for such an iconic member of Batman's rogues gallery. The last page leaves readers of quite a cliff-hanger, and for all the complaints I've had about how drawn out this story has been as of late, I still think that this arc came to a satisfying conclusion. While the issue drags out the "death" of Poison Ivy perhaps a little longer than necessary and one could argue ultimately involves more characters than one might need in order to give it a dramatic flourish, Poison Ivy #23 is still a strong conclusion to the title's current arc. Read Full Review

I'm still baffled by how a series that started so strong ends up here. It reads like a checklist of parody things; multiple (like, 3 at least??) deus ex machinas, clunky, situation-inappropriate dialogue, generic, disingenuous death scene--I get that it's comics, but I can't believe that an editor even glanced at this. Is it happening? Are we doing ChatGPT scripts for real?
