Selina's experiences in the Nightmare realm will surely have ramifications in the future beginning with the upcoming Batman/Catwoman: Gotham War story. Read Full Review

This is an intriguing series, thanks to its strong characterization, noir-inspired aesthetic, and strong art. However, it doesn't quite get there in a timely fashionthe ambiguous nature of this story takes a long time to get to its point. However, it's one of the best issues of Howard's run, and might be one of the best in terms of tying the event into the main series and upcoming plots. Read Full Review

Dark Knight News - Adam Ray

The dream might be melting into wakefulness, but Selina's definitely not out of the nightmare yet. After Knight Terrors: Catwoman #2, there's nothing clear as to what her next steps should be, as the villains that had been trying to claim her corner of Gotham are still out there. Add to this the fact that the tension between her and the "Man [she still] loves is at an all-time high, then truly anything could happen in the main series of Catwoman. The good news is that I trust this creative team to tell unforgettable stories every time. Read Full Review

Knight Terrors: Catwoman #2 is a pleasant surprise as it nearly equals the highs of last month's great issue. I've had my problems with Tini Howard's run overall, but this spin-off story did a great job of summarizing Selina's fears in the current narrative while still delivering an entertaining tie-in to the Knight Terrors event. Leila Leiz is an artist to keep an eye on and while this storyline may not convert people wary of Howard's run, it is a solid way to catch up with Selina's current mental state heading into her next story arc. The action heats up in this issue and the ending is explosive but a lot is thrown at the reader with minimal set-up and/or exploration. And in the end Knight Terrors: Catwoman #2 does more to set up Catwoman's future adventures than progress the Knight Terrors storyline. All that said though, the issue is a great character study and highly recommended for Catwoman fans. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker

    Aug 15, 2023

Knight Terrors: Catwoman #2 has a lot of great ideas. However, they are structured and paced in a way that wastes all of the good work done. The dialogue and the character moments are beautifully bizarre and sometimes horribly traumatic, but it was imposing and emotive. It made me feel something. That said, this issue can’t control the mad moments and the jarring transitions between them. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

For all its lack of consistency, the issue has one of the more vital endings of all of the Knight Terrors crossovers so far. Kyle wakes up to a powerful jolt of awareness in bed. Howard and Leiz converge beautifully at the issue's end. Howard has done an outstanding job with Selina in recent months. It's too bad this nightmare couldn't have been more vivid.  Read Full Review
