It took some revisiting of past issues to reclaim the ground lost in the time between issues. However, the effort was worth it. This is an epic story arch, and I am happy to see it continuing despite attention shifting to other titles. There were a few surprises in this issue, ones I believe will prove to be integral to the ongoing story. In all, it's nice to have this story back and moving toward its conclusion. Read Full Review

I will give this issue a four batarangs, but I can see a lower rating for this being a stand alone issue. This story would probably come off better in trade which is basically how I have read it up till now. We shall see how my opinion changes after next issue when I will tackle that issue individually. Justice League of America #9 does a good job setting up the final confrontation as well as add complexity to Rao meeting himself in the past. This story spans time and space and seems to be on track for one fitting conclusion. Read Full Review

I was this series' biggest cheerleader months ago. I still like it, and I still want to see how it wraps up, but my excitement is greatly diminished. Hitch's big ideas look better when Tony Daniel is drawing them, and having seen that in Rebirth, it's hard going back to Hitch's finishes. This is also a story with huge implications for other stories that already happened, so the stakes feel really low. It's still a satisfying progression of the Rao narrative, so if you were into this book before, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're new to this, though, I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't just wait for the collection. Read Full Review

While I really don't like this series and its over the top delays, making reading this thing even more painful because trying to remember what came before is a chore........ I have to say that this issue with its convoluted time travel nonsense actually brings a lot of things we've been dealing with in this series together.  With that said though, I still don't care for the story or the art and having this issue come out of nowhere is like the killer in a horror movie showing back up once you thought he was dead to enact one final scare....... Hopefully the scares are over, but this series just refuses to die. Read Full Review
